Achu has always been passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience to improve the lives of others. He began his career in Financial Services, where he worked closely with advisors to support their clients. Over the years, he rose through the ranks to senior leadership positions. His extensive experience spans investment advisory programs, investment due diligence, and retirement plan services. After 25 years in the industry, Achu transitioned to a Financial Planner role to engage directly with clients in his community, helping them protect, grow, and preserve their wealth for themselves and future generations.
Achu offers a wide range of financial planning services, including investment, insurance, and retirement plan solutions. He is particularly well-versed in 401(k) and other qualified retirement plans and holds the professional designation of Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®), and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CFPA®) designation. Achu is excited to bring his expertise to individuals, businesses, and faith-based organizations.
Achu graduated from Kean University with a B.S. in Computer Science before joining Merrill Lynch as a Systems Analyst. It was during his time at Merrill Lynch that his passion for finance, investments, and wealth management blossomed, prompting him to pursue an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University. After leaving Merrill Lynch, Achu managed investment platforms at Prudential Retirement and later joined UBS, where he led retirement plan advisory programs. Prior to joining MassMutual Greater Philadelphia, Achu headed recordkeeping product management at TIAA.
Born and raised in Cameroon (Central Africa), Achu now resides in Freehold, NJ, with his wife, son, and daughter. Before moving to Freehold in 2017, they lived in Mercer County, NJ, for over a decade and have deep ties to both communities. A devoted member of his local church, Achu has served as an Elder for nearly 20 years. Fluent in French and intermediate in Spanish, one of Achu's greatest passions is traveling internationally with his family.
