Students from Across the Philadelphia Region Join the Eight Week Summer Program

June 22, 2015 (Bala Cynwyd, PA) - Internships are a very important step in every young person’s career because they give students the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents, while putting their classroom know‐how to use in the “real world.” First Financial Group, a general agency of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) recognizes that internships are a great opportunity for not only the students but the company too. That’s why FFG is hosting its third annual Summer Internship Program.

Prior to starting the summer program, FFG sponsors the students as they obtain their Life & Health Insurance licenses. In June, they began an eight week rotational program. The first half of the program is spent in the classroom, exposing students to a variety of curriculum that is presented by FFG’s seasoned specialists. The students will then spend the second half of the program working directly with senior associates and advisors, providing the students with a true hands‐on experience within the financial services industry.

The FFG 2015 Summer Internship Class includes: Matthew Brady – Temple University; Blair Bonner – Penn State University; Etienne Dumas – Villanova University; Christian Harrison – Rutgers University; Zach Lessen – University Pennsylvania; James Moloney – University of Delaware; Ryan Neill – Temple University; Danielle Repko – University of Delaware; Thomas Rumer II – Temple University; Lonnie Tuff – University of Pennsylvania; and Maria Villamar – Temple University.

“We are excited to give back to our community,” President and CEO of First Financial Group, Harris Fishman states. “Our Internship Program gives us a great platform to promote education and career opportunities in the financial services industry to young professionals and rising stars of the next generation.”

“This program is a great way for our firm to find future talent and leadership,” says Vice President of Recruiting, Mary Ann Patton. “We’ve created an environment that makes it conducive for the students to explore all the industry has to offer.”
